Nobbly Bobbly Discussion

nobblys-001.jpgnobbly-bobblygate.jpg

It is not often I disagree with my property Manager Jean over anything, I think the last time was when I wanted to charge staff to go to the toilet.

But, we are not seeing eye to eye over a nobbly bobbly. This might be my opinion  BUT THE FACT IS a nobbly bobbly is the daddy of all ice creams, a much improved version of  the FAB, it is perfect for a cool off in the summer. But Higgsy seems to think it is a childish lolly, me thinks not, it is grown up and adult.

She supplied me with a supporting photo proving a nobbly bobbly is kids because they are next to the mini milks ( see photo above ). But if you look closely they are also next to the Mint Feast (  grown up lolly ) so there you go, not conclusive.

Anyway let me know what you think, nobbly bobblys ? for kids or grown ups ?

Running out of Petrol ( 3 )

Oh you would have to be a right couple of wallies to run out of petrol in your van at Van Hagues, especially as your job entails having a van full of petrol and being on the move, I reckon you would have to be couple of wallies of the highest order, most Rodney like, Scott and Keith of CCK Garden Care, lucky I was passing by to rescue you and had my camera handy !!!

Oi Bassett - Where’s the toffee mints ?

May 19th, 2010

toffee-mintgate.jpg

The other day I filled up with petrol and fancied some sweets as you do, anyway this bag of assorted mints caught my eye as I was after the mint toffees, one of my favourites. So I opened up the purchase and hunted down the toffee mint straight away ( see evidence of toffee mint on packet ) . Blimey O’reilly there were none, nadda, niente, just everton mints, butter mints and murray mints, what is that about ? Shame on you Bassett, I am sending the empty packet and wrappers back to see what response I get. Am I right to be suspicious of the mixed bag ? Should you stick to speciality only ?

Michael Buble spoilt by Harry Hill lookalike

I went to see Michael Buble at the 02 the other night which was great, but if you look carefully at the photo on the right we had some harry hill lookalike sitting with us, for some reason my mate Simon thought this was hilarious which made him start acting like a ten year old, talking, laughing and eating popcorn throughout the show, we were getting tutted at by the other guests and especially Judy Moody sitting behind Harry Hill.Even our wives tried to make out they didn’t know us on the way out !!! Still we had a good time regardless.

Me and Tony took Mrs D and Mrs C to the black eyed peas at the o2 last night which was rocking, would thoroughly recommend if you ever get the chance to see them, anyway we were lucky enough to be in a box which was great but me and Simon somehow managed to knock out a massive drinks bill and Tony nearly got us lobbed out for dancing like an old buffer on speed.

Whats up Rich, Where you been ?

May 5th, 2010

You might be thinking I have been sunning myself in Spain and this is why theres been no blog action but I have had a strange old couple of weeks.

A week last Saturday I popped in to work and had Mrs D’s new best mate Ronnie with me, anyway the puppy bolted and I chased after the mut out the back of the office and stacked it on the gravel car park. this resulted in mashing up my left elbow which looked pretty bad at the time. But, by the Sunday my elbow looked like twice the size and I went to Harlow A and E to get some antibiotics, I ended up getting out on Wednesday night after three days attached to an IV drip, whats all that about, the elbow had got well infected. It is now well on the mend in case you were worried.

Ben has just come back from inspections and is finding properties in very good condition although one of our tenants in Ware reckon they have seen ( and photographed ) a ghost, he told them that sub - letting is not allowed in the tenancy agreement.

Enzo did an inspection on a large property in Gilston last week and his extra sensory nose smelt gas in the living room, which actually turned out to be a nasty gas leak so well done Enzo.

Tony is looking after Potters Bar and Bishops Stortford at the moment and has been well busy, Charlotte reckons men in football shirts is well chavvy but I disagree on this and will be seeking further opinion.

Anyway good luck to the Spurs tonight and a positive result against City, at one of his inspections Ben heard that Gerrard would sign for Spurs if we get Champions league ( sourced from tenant in Lord Street ! )

Happy St.Georges Day

April 23rd, 2010

Stand up at your desk, stick your chest out ,be proud to be an englishman and sing along with me and Ben :

And did those feet in ancient time

walk upon englands mountain green

and was the holy lamb of god

on englands pleasant pastures seen?

and did the countenance divine

shine forth upon our clouded hills ?

and was jerusalem builded here

among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!

bring me my arrows of desire

bring me my spear! oh clouds, unfold!

Bring me my chariot of fire

I will not cease from mental fight,

nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,

till we have built Jerusalem

In Englands green and pleasant land.

All in a days work !

What a life, one minute I am working on putting a few deals together, then I am stressing over Roydon Mill and bordella deal, then I am going to parenting classes and next minute my boss got me climbing up and over this wheely bin checking on our tenants who were late with the rent. Still at least I got rich’s ticket for the Spurs-Arsenal game tonight.

Directors Note to Emma : would be most convenient if the baby was coming on the 5th May or after.
