We have had a keenly contested situation for office of the month for the last quarter, Hertford took April 08, May was a draw between Hoddesdon and Hertford but June was contentious with Hertford finishing on 21 deals and Hoddesdon on 25, so it was decided to settle by a darts match between Linda and Marc for Hertford and Tony and Jean representing Hoddesdon, after 25 minutues on one game of 151, Linda the Albatross doubled out on 7, thus ensuring the above picture of Marc walking off with the prizes.

He also walked off with the monthly quiz prize but Jean salvaged some pride for Hoddesdon by winning photo of the month.

Hi everyone, my name is Enzo Giardina, I started work with the boys at ADL just over a year ago. My work here is very varied and fulfilling, Sometimes I wonder why my work colleagues call me Pike or Rodney. Last week I had to empty furniture from a flat and for some reason my boss made this chart up for me.

I am looking forward to my summer holidays in Greece with my mates and one day I hope to be the real love machine, like my boss Rich.

We had the pleasure of Rafa Nadal in the office yesterday - he was looking for a place to rent for his younger brother Miguel. Tony gave him a game of office tennis which is played over enzo’s desk and served him a mega ace but lost the ball down the high street , Rafa moves on the the quarter final against Murray with some extra practice - buena suerte mi neuvo amigo.

I am actually going to have a whinge at other agencies here - something I have not ever done before. However I am constantly amazed at the agencies that try to rip my clients via my website ( you know who you are guys ). It now seems that the penny has finally dropped and that our estate agency rivals are trying to switch to lettings as an attempt to save their businesses.

Listen, if you ring me I will even tell you how to build your own successful lettings business, but first you will need to commit ten years of your time, work your butt off, be prepared to see the big picture, even lose money on some deals, look after your client like you have no others, invest in the best staff, train them in the practices of the business, take calls at two in the morning, start at 7.30 am, believe in what you are trying to achieve, be dedicated even at your families expense, work on Sundays, make personal sacrifices, realise this is a long, long term business, be a super sales person, learn that everyone you deal with has varied expectations, get a great business partner, trust me you will need one,learn to deal with your clients expectations do not give your services away too cheaply, invest in high profile premises, build a decent website, learn about marketing, advertise wisely………………………..etc

This is just the beginning, if you can achieve some of the above you may have half a chance, if not, consider a change of career.

Cyprus Properties and Investments

As I reported a couple of months ago, Myself and Enzo went over to Cyprus to see our client Phil Skorochod and some of the developments he is involved in marketing. We had a hectic, but most enjoyable couple of days looking at the South East part of the island.

The specification on the properties that we viewed were superb and of a much higher standard than I was expecting. All in all there are some cracking investments on what is a fantastic holiday island at excellent prices with potential also of capital growth.

After the disappointment of not qualifying for the euros I have been pleasantly enjoying watching the footie, perhaps it is the comfort of not having to go through the certain dramatic penalty exit we would have suffered in the quarters.

Yesterday’s games between Italy / Romania and Holland / France were a cracking watch for a neutral, and as a result the France v Italy game on Tuesday should be a straight head to head for a place in the quarters, young Enzo and his mates are going to travel to the game, I hope he is not in charge of directions or they will all end up in Lithuania.

What a couple of weeks I have had, busy beyond belief, Bens been working on his junior tan, enzo’s still looking for Brookridge Court and to top it all the Catholic father over the road has just driven straight in to the love machine !
