Hats off to the boys at Bleriot who pulled off another fantastic days golf at East Herts Golf Club on friday - it was superbly organised as usual with excellent money raised from local businesses for local causes.

Those boys at Steven Oates tried their best to put us off with their sponsorship sign calling us batty boys and dressing in gay outfits but we persevered regardless and finished a creditable 4th out of 24 teams.

It was a shame that the Oatsey boys did not switch off their mobiles during the speeches and the raffle but luckily it did not seem to put off the comedian.

Well done Pierre, cheque in the post for the Man United shirt that Colin din’t want !!

A big up to Pierre, Andre and the boys at Bleriot for putting on a cracking day of golf on at Brickendon a couple of weeks ago. In all they managed to raise over £ 7,000 for two local charities.

We were pleased to win the team competition with a combined score of 119 points, our team consisted of me, tony, ben and matt juniper. The oatsey boys were well gutted but that is life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you should pay more attention, hey ho ! Up the ADL all stars !

golf-006.jpggolf-002.jpg

We had the pleasure of entering an Anthony Davies team in to the Friends of Kingshill school ( Ware ) last friday to support our sales director Gary Cooper.

Team Anthony Davies consisted of Richard, Tony and Ben and came in 3rd Place in the team competion. An excellent dinner and dance at the Hertfordhshire followed the Golf and we hope that Kingshill School raised a good amount of funds and we look forward to supporting them again in the future.

P.S In the top left picture Ben is teeing off on the par 3 18th, where do you think the ball ended up :-

a) slightly left of the green ?

b) on the green ?

c) an angle of 90 degrees right and in the lake ?

Answer C

Our Charity for 2008

November 24th, 2007

The end of 2007 completes our first decade for Anthony Davies. We intend to mark the event by launching a charity year for 2008.

Our chosen charity for the year will be the Chain Of Hope. The charity was set up by Sir Magdi Yacoub and is dedicated to giving children from less fortunate countries access to life saving heart surgery.

My eldest daughter Chloe had open heart surgery to save her life at 11 months old, nearly ten years ago. She was operated on by Sir Magdi on May 1st 1998, nearly ten years ago at Harefield hospital.

We are hoping to raise a substantial amount throughout the year through various fundraising events including a parachute jump for Ben, Enzo and Marc and culminating with a charity event later in the year.

We also hope to make an annual charity project after 2008 and are looking at LOCAL projects and charities for 2009. If you want to talk to us about a local project for 2009 please e mail me at richard@anthonydavies24.co.uk.
