Richard and Tony are pleased to report we have finalised our acquisition of established letting agents, Alan Randle & Co.

Alan Randle & Co. are the longest established agency in Potters Bar,  director Stan Stanbrook is taking retirement which is why we are involved in the acquisition. We will be taking over the lettings side of the business and relocating the new lettings branch in to 36 Darkes lane, Potters Bar, which will become a first class and prominent lettings office.

Alan Randle & Co will still be in existence as estate and commercial agents which will be run by Tony Stanbrook.

We are retaining one member of staff, Caroline to assist in the transfer of the business and the long term management of the existing portfolio which will commence from the 4th January 2010.

We look forward to bringing our brand of lettings and management to Potters Bar and further expansion of our business.

Blimey, one minute your cracking on with your work on a friday morning, next minute we are all evacuated from our shop because the taste of china next door is on fire.

Well done to the emergency services - they were well quick on the scene although Tonyheard one of the rozzers saying he didn’t fancy the crispy duck.

Anyway, all is now Ok apart from the lingering whiff but we are used to that from working with Enzo.

What a cracking weekend, had a bit of a junior hangover yesterday because of Mick the dribblers 50th birthday bash Saturday night - but went up the Spurs even if Keeble was moaning about driving instead of getting the train.

1-0 at half time, then wallop, 5 from JD second half and we win 9-1, happy days, what with the south londoners losing at Sunderland on Saturday, boom shak a lai.

Previous experience in lettings administation is preferred - the successful applicant will be working in a very busy office environment and must be able to multi task and deal with tenants and landlord expectations, customer service skills are a high priority for this position.

Had a corker of a new excuse for late payment on friday, telephone call as follows :-

Me : Hi there, Rich from Anthony Davies, notice your rent is a bit late, are you coming in today ?

Tenant : Yes , no problem but I need to say that really I have had a problem with leaves falling on the path and driveway and I am unhappy that I nearly slipped up and it is dangerous, so what do we do ?

Me : Well I might be able to sort out a lot of problems but stopping leaves falling from the sky is not one of them.

Tenant : Oh, well there’s leaves everywhere.

Me : I know, I swept loads up from front of my house and back garden the other day.

Tenant :  Oh Ok, but these are all wet.

Me : I get the picture, lots of wet leaves, bit slippy, but you still need to pay the duke of kent.

Tenant : Oh I see, I will come in later to pay the rent.

So this new excuse does not work in case you want to use it.

Work is well underway on the new shop in Bishops Stortford, Pizza Express were not too happy because of the noise but little anne did get served up some burnt pasta there the other night.

Anyway in case you thought we were a bit crazy taking on this new venture on our own, we are in fact launching as a joint venture with Hertford’s most prolific agents………………………………………………………………..Steven Oates.

The office will be open start of January 2010 and we look forward to working with the guys at Steven Oates to build what I am sure will be a most successful sales and letting agency.

Well done to the Freestones and their protest against the football pitch proposed on land adjacent to the Lynch, if you dont already know the guy from the bungalow on the entrance to the Lynch is trying to gain planning for football pitches and changing rooms.

Dear Applicant , you must be having a turkish bath, you could never play football down there unless you wanted to celebrate a goal by breaking your leg and falling over the odd stray horse.

 Well I never, I will be arranging my protest in due course….

What is going on ? it seems like most of my mates and MUTS ( mums up the school ) have gone and got themselves dogs. Now, I do like dogs and have often thought about getting one myself but these new dog owners don’t half go on about their new friends. Oohing and aahing and going on and on and showing photos and taking them everywhere with them or can’t go out anymore……………also went down the new pet shop in Cheshunt the other day and the girl tries to sell me a nearly grown manky cat for 150 squids, no chance….took little anne in paws and claws as well but nothing doing in there either, just a parrot and some disorganised bordella ! Thinking of starting my own pet shop out the back.

If you have been worried about my lack of blogging it is because I had to get my hernia done last week, very painful but I am pleased to report the love machine will be back to normal soon, I think Mrs D and the kids are pleased to see me back to work and off the sofa and to get the remote control back.
