Hertford Lettings

February 22nd, 2008

gay-boy-and-linda-001.jpgThis post is to let you know about my work colleagues Linda Cassidy and Marc Ferraro at our Hertford Branch. They have been running the Hertford office for approximately 12 months with great success. Marc has worked for ADL for over four years and Linda for three years. They are brilliant letting agents who manage to deliver excellent customer service and get properties rented out. I know I have an obvious bias but if I had a property to let in Hertford I would give them my instruction today. Mind you , I did train them both up !

Initial rental report Feb 08

February 20th, 2008

How has the letting market been so far this year ? pretty much as expected, we have rented over 72 units already this year. What is really good news is the quality of tenants we are registering at the moment. Our area is certainly attracting huge interest with excellent enquiries from our internet sites and portals. The only thing we do need is more properties please……..one bedroom flats and three bedroom homes are in most shortage at the moment. Oh, and the other good news, local rent levels increasing…e.g one bedroom flat in Lampits, Hoddesdon now £ 595, up from £ 550  12 months ago with Anthony Davies.

Drinking Bat Lunch Club 8/2/08

February 8th, 2008

dblc-002.jpgThe Fifth regular meeting of the Drinking Bat Lunch Club took place at the Hertford House Hotel, a fine meal with good company was highly enjoyable. However , some dubious scoring method adopted by King Bat ( Ray Knightly ) resulted in an overrall score of 8.6, thus ensuring himself pole position and the chance of becoming President Bat 2008.

Personally I thought the score was a bit high, no doubt the food and the surroundings are very good but the  service does go missing at times and can be a bit slow on the drinks. That aside it is well worth a visit.

Post and Newspaper Delivery (#4)

February 5th, 2008

I am sure Mrs.D thinks I am a grumpy old man at times but this one comes courtesy of my Mate Tim Skelton. We were having a beer before the Spurs game on Saturday and he was moaning about his post and newspapers only being posted half way through the letterbox,  he has even taking to berating the postman and paperboy about it, apparently it leaves a nasty draft, how grumpy is that ?

Smiths Brasserie

February 2nd, 2008

I had the pleasure of lunch with Paul Leadley ( Paul Wallace- Cheshunt) last Friday at Smiths Brasserie in Ongar. Now this a great fish restaurant , very Essex like, I would thoroughly recommend a visit, it is a bit on the pricey side but the service and food is excellent. Anyway it was nice to see Paul’s wallet making the light of day, thanks for the meal mate.
